Floodway Study for Gilcrest Reservoir
A Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) on the South Platte River in Weld County, Colorado was prepared for the proposed Gilcrest Dams and Reservoirs. The project consisted of revising the floodplain and defining the floodway for a 3.2 miles stretch of the South Platte River. HEC-RAS was utilized to model the hydraulic properties of the river. The LOMR report was submitted and approved by FEMA Coordinator at the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, Weld County and Michael Baker Jr. Consulting Engineers (on behalf of the Federal Emergency Management Agency).
